AI processing consent

Version 2.0 · Last updated 19 August 2026

Two features use AI

The AI Vet chat answers questions about your pet. The Vet Visit reader turns a recorded consultation and a photographed discharge sheet into a proposed care plan. Both send data to the same provider, and this consent covers both. Everything else in the app — logging, the pillbox, reminders, charts, the vet report — works with no AI involvement at all.

What the chat sends

Your pet's name, species, breed, age, weight, chronic conditions, current medications, a summary of recent daily logs and vitals, your message, and any photo you attach. Your name, email and account identifiers are not sent.

What the vet visit reader sends

The audio recording of the consultation, if you made one, and the photograph of the discharge sheet, if you took one — together with your pet's name, species, breed, age, weight and current medications so that what it reads can be matched against what your pet already takes. A recording contains your voice and your vet's voice. Please read the separate notice on recording consultations before using it.

Who processes it

Processing is performed by OpenAI, in the United States, as our sub-processor under a data processing agreement incorporating the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. OpenAI does not use data submitted through its API to train its models, and retains API data only briefly for abuse monitoring. We never sell your data and never use it for advertising.

Why we ask for consent

Information you record about your pet is personal data relating to you as the owner, an audio recording additionally contains other people's voices, and this processing sends it outside the European Union. Explicit, informed consent is the right basis for that, and it means the decision stays yours.

You can withdraw at any time

Settings → Legal & privacy → withdraw AI consent. Withdrawal stops all future AI processing immediately, for both features. Anything already produced — past answers, past transcripts — stays in your records until you delete it. The offline triage guidance built into the app continues to work without any AI.

What AI cannot do here

No AI feature in this app can change your pet's records on its own. Medications proposed from a vet visit are shown for your approval and are only created when you approve them. Nothing is deleted, prescribed or scheduled automatically, and no decision about you is made by automated means.
